“In the middle of writing a year-end article, one of my points was brought to the forefront by a recent email from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). In November, the company announced the plan to acquire BlueData, a container-based solution to help deploy and manage artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and analytics applications. The announcement is that the acquisition is complete.
‘Machine learning won’t be widely adopted until the deployment is simplified and automated,’ said Patrick Osborne, VP and GM for Big Data at HPE. ‘HPE’s acquisition of BlueData is intended to democratize ML and allow existing IT organizations the ability to quickly add machine learning services to their computing and storage infrastructure.'”
