“I see four main themes shaping AI in the near term for financial services. First is that models are really proliferating, especially from technology companies, but more relevant to us is that our large key vendors and partners that support technology infrastructure are deploying AI into their product sets. We expect that a majority of the AI that we deploy, perhaps as much as 80%, will be provided through a vendor suite, so it’s critical that we emphasize learning how to harness and extend what vendors are providing. That’s a good thing because we can leverage their scale and development, and it leaves just a small subset of solutions that we need to create internally ourselves. The key to success lies in deeply understanding the tools our partners have built, identifying where they can enhance our processes, and systematically implementing those changes in a disciplined, well-managed way.”
